After Penang I took a bus to Kuala Lumpur (KL) which is the capital of Malaysia. The bus ride was an experience all in itself. Penang is an island on the northwest side of mainland Malaysia. It is known for its excellent and cheap street food. I specifically went to George Town which is a small port city on the island of Penang developed by the British in 1786. In 2008, George Town became a UNESCO World Heritage Site.
